Pudgy Ponders: Who and What Are Shaping Our Minds?
A deeper look at what is shaping us in the age of web 3, X, and infinite scrolling.....

Dear friend, have you ever paused, to wonder why your heart, head, and gut hold the beliefs it does? Let’s explore the roots of your truth with kindness, compassion, and curiosity (no judgment!)
Close your eyes for a second. We are giong to think about why we think about what we do and how web 3 and technology has shaped our values and beliefs.
Ready?
Okay, let’s dive it!

What are three or four beliefs that feel alive in you? Perhaps there’s a crypto project that lights up your spirit, why does it call to you more than others? Is there a founder whose vision you trust, or one that causes hesitation? What inputs into your soul shape those feelings?
Maybe there’s an NFT collection or a certain person in the space that feels like a best friend, someone you trust. What draws you to them? When did these beliefs weave themselves into your being? Who, or what, helped them bloom? And, with curiosity, what could open your heart and mind to see them differently?
Long ago, before the world was lit up with screens in every direction and a digital tsunami of daily information numbing us from the world around us, our beliefs grew slowly, like seeds in the earth. We shared stories with friends, talked to people in line, made eye contact while at the grocery store, and made conversation with our neighbors. Life was gentle, simple, and our minds had space to breathe and explore with intentionality.
Now, let’s lean into today and the world of Web 3, where blockchain and communities are weaving new ways to think, trust, act, invest, belong, and dream. When you hold an NFT or a token, it’s not just a digital asset, it’s a piece of your truth, a quiet vow to the world you believe in. Every like, comment, or mint is a step into a story where you’re not just watching but helping shape what’s to come. Investment decisions once the product of methodical study and patience, are now only a couple of carefree clicks away.
But let me ask: in this digital recess of freedom, who and what are guiding your thoughts? The lines between creators and dreamers blur like a foggy morning. A single tweet from a trusted soul or an anonymous coder, an influencer pocketing undisclosed amounts of tokens from projects they are paid to shill, or a 14 year old in their garage on the other side of the world with a 10 eth PFP (they may not even really own) can shift your beliefs in a moment. As you flow through videos or threads about tokens, your thoughts and half truths are quietly being woven into your algorhythm of beliefs.
So, beloved friend, what Web 3 communities or people make your spirit dance? What pulls you to them, their story, their success, or your shared dreams or bag biases? Do you really trust them? And what do you say to the quiet or not so quiet doubts you hear in your head?
Today’s post hopefully got you thinking about what is shaping our thoughts these days and how important who we follow and associate with online can be for our happiness, health, and success.
If you enjoyed this post, please share it with someone in your world or on your timeline, I’d be grateful if you do.
And I appreciate you walking this path with me, with an open mind, to continue to think critically and challenge the status quo. Until next time, wishing you health, happiness, and prosperity!
